Hulu has been very secretive about its Alien: Earth television show. They haven’t given fans any solid screenshots or plot elements, and this new teaser is no different except to say the series will premiere on Hulu starting Summer of 2025.

IMDb does give us a little hint at the storyline, but it’s bare bones at best.

“When a mysterious space vessel crash-lands on Earth, a young woman and a ragtag group of tactical soldiers make a fateful discovery that puts them face-to-face with the planet’s greatest threat.”

Alien: Earth takes place three decades before the events of Ridley Scott’s 1979 movie Alien.

“Alien takes place before Ripley,” said FX producer John Landgraf. “It’s the first story, that takes place on Earth. It takes place on our planet, near the end of this century we’re currently in -70-odd years from now.”

The series is directed by screenwriter, series creator, and showrunner Noah Hawley. It stars Sydney Chandler, Alex Lawther, Timothy Olyphant, and Essie Davis.
