‘Black Sheep 2’ Headed Our Way From Creators of Original

No, it’s not a follow-up to the 1996 Chris Farley and David Spade road trip comedy, but the 2006 New Zealand horror comedy Black Sheep that’s getting another chapter.

Deadline reports that Black Sheep writer/director Jonathan King will once again go behind the camera for this sequel to the cult favorite.

Actor Nathan Meister will return as Henry Oldfield who finds out his brother has been doing experiments on their wooly livestock, turning them into bloodthirsty monsters.

Deadline reveals the plot of this second entry: “A young scientist who is convinced that a dangerous new pathogen threatens the population and tracks it back to her hometown – which is located in the shadow of the remote sheep station where the macabre events of the original Black Sheep unfolded.”

One of the appeals of Black Sheep was the practical effects done by the award-winning  Wētā Workshop. They will also return for the sequel.

Filming will start in March 2025.
