Here Is What You Need to Know About Peacock’s New Series ‘Hysteria” (Interview)

We have already mentioned how awesome the premise of Hysteria is. However, Peacock was kind enough to let us talk to some of the talent behind the production, offering some bloody details behind this must see series. We sat down with Mathew Scott Kane (American Horror Story), David A. Goodman (Family Guy), Anna Camp (From Black), and Nikki Hahn (The Remains) to get you the insider information about Hysteria.

Q&A

iHorror: This series has amazing cinematography, what inspired the color schemes?

Mathew Scott Kane: We were influenced by the Spielbergian and Universal titles that were popular in the 80s.

David A. Goodman: It is a modern paced show that harkens back to the feeling of living in small town during the 80s.

iHorror: Was it hard to balance modernity with nostalgia?

Mathew Scott Kane: It wasn’t for me. We knew the story we wanted to tell.

David A. Goodman: Our directors and cinematographers understood what the plan was and executed it beautifully.

iHorror: The horror market is very saturated right now, why should people watch Hysteria?

Mathew Scott Kane: It’s an original idea. It’s not a reboot or a part five. It’s a show that is grounded in the times we are living in and its characters. All strong television has to rely on its characters.

David A. Goodman: If you are a fan of horror you are reviling in the fact that it’s a saturated market and this show has a lot to offer you. Right at the top you have Bruce Campbell. You also have teens and parents making bad decisions. There is a balance between humor, drama, and horror. Hysteria has something for everybody.

iHorror: What should audiences expect from a series like Hysteria?

Nikki Hahn: It’s a horror but it’s also a coming of age story. There are so many well written characters and the soundtrack is super cool.

Anna Camp: Expect suspense and cliffhangers. It’s a fantastic wild ride that’s full of surprises.

That’s all the information we have at this time. Hysteria will be released via Peacock on October 18th. As always, make sure to check back here for more news and updates.
