Rob Zombie Teases Herman’s Head Make-Up Prosthetic and Wardrobe From ‘The Munsters’

Ever since the news broke of Rob Zombie taking on a reboot of the classic TV series The Munsters, Zombie has has been busy on his Instagram proudly sharing images from the set. Not very long ago, Rob shared images of The Munster’s sleepwear. Now, he is back at it again sharing even more goodies, including Herman Munster’s flathead, Franken-crown.

The Franken-crown looks fantastic. It’s definitely a variation of the classic, super-long approach with concave sides that we know from Fred Gwynne’s crown. This is the most Rob Zombie styled piece of the set that I have seen. It has the same general look as that of Frankenstein’s Monster from early White Zombie videos. It’s a cool approach and I’m happy to see Zombie’s trademark sensibilities.

In addition, Zombie also shared some cool looking wardrobe illustrated designs. A sharp looking, crimson, well-fitted suit for a stylish Herman and a beautiful textured, hooded cloak for a goth Lily Munster. Zombie also points out that The Munsters will have an “extensive array” of wardrobe. Very cool! So far, the stylish goth goods have blown me away. If he decides to go about this in the same direction of Cruella, in which, she had a beautiful wardrobe change from scene to scene. The more goth clothing the better, I say.

Of course, Zombie reveals, as we already knew, that he is filming in Budapest. He also reveals the beginning structural skeleton of the house on Mockingbird lane. Squeeeee!

I’m hoping that Zombie keeps up these awesome visual updates. We will happily keep covering them throughout.
