Wes Craven’s ‘Scream’ is Coming to 4K UHD in an Fantastic Steelbook Case

The new and fifth Scream entry is well on its way, and while the jury is still out on how that will measure up to the films directed by Wes Craven, we are being given a chance to watch the Scream that started it all in glorious 4K. That’s right, y’all, the meta horror rich, Scream is on its way to 4K in a must-own steelbook case.

Perhaps best of all is that Scream 4K hits store shelves beginning Oct. 19. Just in time for Halloween! I know that I’ll be adding it to my Halloween movie playlist this year.

The synopsis for Scream goes like this:

Wes Craven re-invented and revitalised the slasher-horror genre with this modern horror classic, which manages to be funny, clever and scary, as a fright-masked knife maniac stalks high-school students in middle-class suburbia. Craven is happy to provide both tension and self-parody as the body count mounts – but the victims aren’t always the ones you’d expect.
