Eli Roth’s ‘Borderlands’ has Wrapped – Jack Black’s Claptrap teases

We all know that video game adaptations are a very serious mixed bag. There haven’t been very many good ones over the years. However, it looks like Eli Roth is going for a precise adaptation of Gearbox Software’s Borderlands games. Every photo out of this camp has been spot on. The characters each cutting a silhouette that resembles their characters exactly. Best, of all the cast is absolutely insane! Well, good news we are closer to seeing it today, since it has officially wrapped.

Today, Eli Roth’s Borderlands Twitter page shared an image of a very screen accurate Claptrap holding up a clapboard stating that the film has wrapped. In the film Jack Black gives voice to the smart ass robot and hilarious robot.

Eli Roth’s Borderlands synopsis goes like this:

Lilith (Blanchett), an infamous outlaw with a mysterious past, reluctantly returns to her home planet of Pandora to find the missing daughter of the universe’s most powerful S.O.B., Atlas (Ramirez). Lilith forms an alliance with an unexpected team – Roland (Hart), a former elite mercenary, now desperate for redemption; Tiny Tina (Greenblatt), a feral pre-teen demolitionist; Krieg (Munteanu), Tina’s musclebound, rhetorically challenged protector; Tannis (Curtis), the scientist with a tenuous grip on sanity; and Claptrap (Black), a persistently wiseass robot. These unlikely heroes must battle alien monsters and dangerous bandits to find and protect the missing girl, who may hold the key to unimaginable power. The fate of the universe could be in their hands – but they’ll be fighting for something more: each other.
