The Horrorpops own a very large portion of the years that surrounded high school. Their music painted the interior of my room while growing up and were staples of young Trey’s fashion sense. The long and short of it is that the Horrorpops very much ruled and were a singular sort of enigma in the landscape of music. Their latest collection titled Horrorpops Live at the Wiltern Theater is such a special trip and stands on its own as a spectacular show in general.
Shot in 2020 at the Wiltern Theater, the 19 song experience takes you through the Horrorpops hits. The goods like Walk Like a Zombie, Psychobitches out of Hell, Julia and heck load more. Cleopatra Records is putting out a heck of a release and it’s going to arrive in a variety of collection options.
The show is coming out on Blu-Ray and DVD packaged with a CD. You also have the option to choose from a nifty gold, silver or black 180-gram vinyl selection.
Both Patricia Day and Kim Nekroman look phenomenal and do a nice job of making the show into a full-circle, tremendous undead beast complete with wardrobe, choreography and exciting events within the shows runtime. A complete throwback to the early shows of the band before they took a nine-year break.
