It’s been a long wait to see this particular group of fighters tear each other apart. The time is now upon us to see Mortal Kombat and to quote a super pumped Shang-Tsung, “it has begun!
Mortal Kombat is finally here from James Wan’s Atomic Monster Production. Everything we have seen in the trailer for the film has been beyond impressive. Best of all it has kept a heavy emphasis on the brutality of the fatalities. Let’s go ahead and admit that we are all showing up for two things. The martial arts and the intense gore.
The synopsis for Mortal Kombat goes like this:
“Mortal Kombat is a mysterious, intergalactic tournament of ancient martial arts. Shaolin Monk Liu Kang, from Earth, gets invited as a competitor.”
In the latest clip, we get a look at the first seven minutes of Mortal Kombat. In this one we see a very important origin story begin. We are looking at Sub-Zero meeting Scorpion before either has officially taken the moniker. Like most revenge stories, this one starts with a tragedy.
We can expect a lot of origin stories in this one. From the looks of the trailer we will be watching Sonya Blade, Jax, Kano and a few others all see their intro to the world deciding contest that is Mortal Kombat.
