You Can Now Play as The Movie Characters From 95’s ‘Mortal Kombat’ in ‘Mortal Kombat 11’

This is a very cool blast of nostalgia and Mortal Kombat has been on a roll for that kind of thing. Their latest DLC packs have included Rambo, RoboCop, Terminator, etc… Now, the team at Netherealm Studios is giving us a klassic character skins from the 1995 Mortal Kombat film.

Its not just the klassic skins we are receiving either. The characters are giving both their likeness and even their voice talents.. Meaning, we are getting the amazing but out of place Christopher Lambert accent as Lord Raiden.

Not all of the cast is included in this pack, we are only getting the before mentioned Lambert, Linden Ashby, and Bridgette Wilson. I’m hoping in the future we get more movie characters it would be great to eventually get all of them.

It seems like a real oversight to miss one of the largest personalities in the game. Trevor Goddard played Kano and made him into a real asshole of a bad guy. Plus, his accent was a really memorable caricature. So, here is to wishing that one day we get his likeness and voice talents.

The synopsis for 1995’s Mortal Kombat goes like this:

Lord Raiden handpicks three martial artists – federal agent Sonya Blade, Shaolin monk Lui Kang (Robin Shou) and action movie sensation Johnny Cage — and mentors them. After intense training, Rayden transports the trio to Outworld, the site of an inter-dimensional fighting tournament. There, the three humans must defeat the demonic warriors of the evil Shang Sung – or allow Sung to take over the Earth.
