Keanu Reeves can do no wrong. He is currently filming The Matrix 4, he is about to film John Wick 4 and his likeness is about to play a major role in Cyberpunk 2077 as Johnny Silverhand.
The official synopsis for Keanu’s blood-soaked BRZRKR! goes like this:
The action-packed and hyper-violent “BRZRKR” centers on a warrior who looks a lot like a certain beloved actor and has walked a blood-soaked path across the world for centuries. In present day, the Berzerker does dangerous jobs for the U.S. government in exchange for the truth about his existence.
The entire thing sounds absolutely great. In addition to Keanu writing the comic, his likeness is also being used to breathe life into the comic’s protagonist. Boom! Studios first issue of BRZRKR is out now with Alessandro Vitti onboard to illustrate the books.
Reeves taking complete control over IP is a pretty smart way to go. The studio pretty much already has a script to go with panel by panel with these comics. If he later decides to make these into a film he will be doing really well.
