Rory Culkin, Isabelle Fuhrman Join the Cast of ‘The Last Thing Mary Saw’

The Last Thing Mary Saw, a new horror film from writer and director Edoardo Vitaletti has added some serious talent to their roster as they prepare to begin shooting this month.

Rory Culkin (Scream 4), Isabelle Fuhrman (Down a Dark Hall, Orphan), Judith Roberts (Dead Silence), and Stefanie Scott (Insidious Chapter 3) will star in the period horror film set in the 1840s.

The official synopsis from a press release we received today reads:

Winter. 1843. A darkly strict religious family inhabits an isolated farmhouse. One ill-omened morning, Mary, the youngest daughter, discovers her Grandmother – Constance – dead, covered in blood. A day like any other turns into a day of murder and mourning. Thirty-six hours later, Mary sits in a grim detention room, her clothes stained in blood, and her eyes covered with a black cloth. The town’s constable dives into her past, unearthing horrors forgotten for Millennia: what happened at the farm during the Grandmother’s funeral?

Scott is set to play Mary in the project with Roberts taking on the role of Constance. There is no word yet on what characters Culkin and Fuhrman will play in the film.

This is the feature directorial debut for New York-based Vitaletti. He previously wrote and directed a short film set during World War 2 titled God is Busy Somewhere Else.

While there is no set release date for The Last Thin Mary Saw, it will most likely find its way in front of audiences later in 2020.
