The Ghostbusters official YouTube account dropped some serious ectoplasmic types of good content today. In the short video, we see original Ghostbusters director Ivan Reitman and Bill Murray readying up to watch something. Reitman informs Murray not to say anything and instead instructs him to “just watch.”
The scene that these two legends watch is the clip we shared with you guys last week. In the clip, Paul Rudd’s character is picking up some goodies in a grocery store when he suddenly notices the bag of Marshmallows is moving around on its own. On closer inspection, an adorable mini stay-puft busts out of the shrink-wrapped plastic bag. A second later, the shelves are covered with mini-pufts all creating their own tiny stratospheres of chaos. Each one being super adorable at attempting murder.
Murray, who is intensely watching the clip absolutely loses it with laughter. Guffawing at the adorable little guys. It’s such a wonderful and wholesome moment. Best of all Murray finishes up the video by asking Reitman, “That’s got the feel [of the original movie] doesn’t it? Doesn’t it?” Murray is clearly into it. Reitman too has this proud papa smirk across his face, that is equally wholesome.
The official synopsis for Ghostbusters: Afterlife goes like this:
“When a single mom and her two kids arrive in a small town, they begin to discover their connection to the original Ghostbusters and the secret legacy their grandfather left behind.”
Ghostbusters: Afterlife begins to haunt theaters November 10.
